WLIU Logo Design

The WLIU logo was a hand-drawn design by DJ Nautech as a member of WLIU Radio under the leadership of Edmar “DJ Baby Huey” Flores, 1995-1996. The logo embodied our determination to rank WLIU’s programming as number one in Brooklyn, which was achieved from 1996-2000. WLIU Radio broadcasted via the Brooklyn Community Access Television (BCAT), and our competitor college radio stations were Brooklyn College, Medgar Evers College, and Kingsborough Community College. WLIU Remained #1 in programming on BCAT until the Expansion and construction of the Pratt Building.

WLIU website is not currently active. LIU was rebranded from the "Blackbirds" to "Sharks" on 7/1/2019.
